COVID-19

General COVID-19 Assumptions, Policies, and Procedures

MSSC will be operating under the assumptions, policies, and procedures listed below. These policies are subject to change at any time and will be revised and updated as necessary. Players and officials will be notified of material changes as appropriate.

Policies for all leagues

  • Our leagues are 100% voluntary activities, and no one is forced to participate in them
  • Our leagues generally cater to a younger, lower risk population
  • Everyone who participates in our leagues will have to complete a new waiver (reflecting COVID-19 concerns) before their first game
  • No one should participate in our leagues if they are uncomfortable being around players who may be unmasked and/or unvaccinated
  • MSSC will not be requiring proof of vaccination unless mandated by local health department guidelines
  • The possibility exists that we will be forced to reschedule, postpone, or cancel games or entire leagues for any number of reasons associated with this virus. This includes, but is not limited to: changes in public health policy, lack of available referees and umpires, facilities deciding to cancel our reservations, etc. If leagues are unable to continue at some point, all teams will be reimbursed for games not played. However, no prizes will be awarded
  • If an individual tests positive for COVID, he or she (or the team captain) is expected to notify MSSC promptly. Upcoming games may be rescheduled or cancelled in the event of a positive test if the person testing positive was considered "infectious" per public health guidelines at the time the most recent game involving that player was played. No refunds will be issued to a team with a player who tests positive and forces the cancelation of a game that cannot be rescheduled. Any games or matches not able to be rescheduled will be scored as a forfeit in favor of the team without the positive test
  • Lastly: Use common sense. If you’re feeling the slightest bit sick, stay home. If you’ve been around someone who is/was recently sick, stay home

Policies for outdoor leagues

All of our outdoor leagues are back to "normal" as of Spring 2022. Anyone who chooses to wear PPE during league play is responsible for ensuring it is kept with the player’s belongings and removed when the player leaves the field or court.

Policies for indoor leagues

As of November 2022 there are no requirements to wear masks in any facility we're using. This is subject to change at the discretion of the facilities.
