MSSC runs Spring, Summer, and Fall leagues each year. The Spring seasons usually start in April or May and go through sometime in July. Summer season should start in mid-July. Fall season starts in August. Season schedules are subject to change depending on the weather. You can sign up a team or register as an individual and MSSC will place you on a team if we have any teams looking for additional players. The recommended roster size is 15 players to allow for vacations and other abscenses on Spring/Summer weekends.

  • Teams are co-ed and consist of ten players on the field. At least four fielders must be female, and a female must hit at least every third at-bat
  • Team shirts, balls, and umpires are provided by MSSC. Players provide their own bats, gloves, and any protective equipment they wish to wear. No bats on the ASA's banned bat list will be permitted
  • Games are slow pitch and last seven innings (or one hour if that comes first)

"Upper" vs. "Lower"

We are able to segment some leagues into separate divisions if we have enough space. Teams self-select their division, subject to MSSC approval. If you played in a prior season and we know you're good enough to play in Upper, we'll move you there if you register for Lower. Be honest about your skill level, as teams who are truly Lower division teams do not enjoy getting blown out by teams who lie, and it makes the league look bad for allowing that type of skill level disparity to occur. There is nothing wrong with being an Upper division team. No one in this division bites, and there isn't a guy in a mask chasing you around with a chainsaw. If you are at all questioning where your team belongs, you belong in Upper.

Prizes and Other Benefits

  • All teams in the Saturday league receive two free pitchers of beer after their games at our sponsor bar: The Red Zone on Regent Street
  • Champions t-shirts and gift cards will be awarded to the winners of the Upper division. The Lower division awards no prizes

For complete details, please download the Rulebook linked in the grey bar at the top of this page. When you're ready to sign up, click the "Team" or "Individual" button below, or click "Learn More" for the full details on dates, times, locations, etc.

Individual registration details: Individuals may sign up and we will place you if we have room. No payment is required at sign up; we will contact you if we have a spot for you and place you when payment is received. We typically are not able to place every male who registers as an Individual, simply because there are always far more males than females who sign up. Individuals will be placed in the order they register if we can accomodate them, so be sure to sign up early for the best chance at being placed on a team (or recruit some ladies!)
